I finished and that was my goal. I'm sure there were many more things that I could have learned. I'm always amazed at how many things are possible. This has been a good experience, difficult for this unprofessional computer user, but a good experience.
Thanks for the challenge.

Wikis
As we approach the end of this exercise, I can actually say I've learned lots of new stuff. Again, if I had a home application it would be more profitable for me. The world it is a changin'. Since I work in acquisitions and technical processes, I do not have the public interaction of many of the other employees.
Wikis are a great tool for libraries. It's nice to see everyone has the opportunity to contribute to a local site. I enjoyed the ALA wiki to see local restaurants, conference schedules, not-to-be-missed things.
I find it interesting that on some sites anyone can edit the information. When the Internet first became popular, I heard many people use it as if it was the only accurate information and certainly the most current. It was very difficult to convince them otherwise. The applications are nearly limitless. I encourage librarians with "inquiring minds" to really go for it.

Tags, etc.
Yes indeed, tags help you find stuff. This is the Reader's Digest condensed version of keeping up with this class. I'm still at a loss but I'm trying, a little.
If I had a computer at home, I could see where someone could lose themselves for hours at a time. But alas, I don't.

You Tube & me
Found cute video about Cookie Monster looking for cookies in the library. Since my son was a Cookie Monster fan some 30 years ago, it made me laugh.
Podcasts
The Golden Age Hollywood would be a great asset to customers who are into the movies.

Playtime
Found this and it is fun. I'm still the outdoor girl who also likes to watch & listen to birds.

Flickr
I found a wonderful picture on Flickr of a fox crossing the ice on a dead run. I put it on my desktop to move to the blog (remember, I'm a real beginner in this stuff) but after a discussion with someone about copyrights I decided I shouldn't put it up. This is taking me huge amounts of time that I don't have since I'm only part time. And because I'm such a beginner it just takes a long time to figure stuff out. So I'm not sure I'll ever get a picture up here. Oh, well.

rss class
I'm learning new things about technology each day. We have no home computer or digital camera so I'm ploughing through these exercises. But I'm doing it.

7 1/2 easy
The easiest habit for me is play. I love to fish, hike, cross-country ski and read. Let the house go until later, play first.
7 1/2 habits
The hardest habit for me is to set a goal. It's just not in my make-up to actually plan ahead.
